This thesis takes the guild of the theories related to psychosphere and intends to investigate the relationship between psychosphere and teaching quality by means of survey and experiment. Through the experiment, I wish to seek the teaching strategies that can achieve a better psychosphere so as to improve the student's grades and emotional attitude, and reach the final goal as to improve the overall teaching quality.Humanistic psychology emphasizes human factors in learning process. They believe the potentiality of human is realized by him-self, but not the effect of education. Teachers are only responsible for providing a safe, free psychosphere that is full of the milk of human kindness. So people can automatically realize their intrinsic potentiality in the psychosphere. The American psychologist raised two psycho conditions that encourage creativity: " psychological security", eliminating all the disesteem, repulsion, psychological threatens coming from the others and creating a loose and harmonious environment;"psychological freedom", which is the result of psychological security and an unconstraint state in doing creative activity. Psychological security and psychological freedom can only exist in harmonious classroom dynamics, which, considered by Rogers, was mainly formed by interpersonal relationship. The 20th century pedagogy gives great consideration about student's emotion. The Language Acquisition theories in intercommunication consider language to be acquired in nature. Humanism emphasizes the subjective effect of the learner. Community Language Learning seeks the link between learning contents and the student's life. They think the student's initiative and good psycho states can form the easy and harmonious atmosphere. Suggestive learning thinks the learner's lack of confidence is the biggest obstacle. Therefore, an easy and harmonious atmosphere should be made with all efforts to reduce the felling of stress. S. D. Krashen (1981), in his hypothesis of "Affective Filter Hypothesis", regards emotional over involvement as a psychological block to prevent learner from completely digesting the comprehensive input they gained in learning. The students' English learning psychosphere is formed by many factors, including teaching environment, teaching evaluation, teaching method, and the emotional factors ofthe teachers and students. This paper further analyses the individual emotional factors and the teacher - student relationship in emotional factors and, at the same time, discusses the experiment teaching in class atmosphere, teaching evaluation and teaching method. As one of the most important functions of language is to promote interpersonal communication, it inevitably involves the emotional attitude of human. The emotional attitude needs to be expressed and conveyed by language to a great extent and it affects the acquisition of language directly or indirectly. Negative emotional attitude affect the development of learning potentiality, while positive one can create psychological states that suits for learning. S. D. Krashen thinks the speed and effect of foreign language acquisition is influenced by major emotional factors, such as motivation, attitude, anxiety and confidence. Therefore, in this paper, I further analyze learners' individual emotional factors like motivation, individuality, and anxiety. I also explained the teacher-student relation and its effect to English teaching. Through my research, I find that the teacher-student relation directly affects the student's learning interest and it is the medium for teaching to be proceeded smoothly. This paper tries to determine the relationship between the emotional factors and grades in English teaching by three experiments. First, the experiment on degree of correlation between grades and attitude and teacher-student relationship shows that, students who like the English teachers are fond of English learning whereas those who do not like the teacher also don't like to learn English. This indicates the close relationship between learning attitude and emotional attitude to the teachers. Second, from the survey on the relation between individuality, anxiety and English Acquisition, learners who have introversive personality are easy to become anxious and this anxiety affects the English learning whereas extroversive ones have few worries and dare to show-off, they have higher studying efficiency. Third, from the survey on the current situation of emotional teaching, I found that the current situation of middle school emotional teaching is not satisfactory, and teachers need to improve their quality, concept and idea on teaching, teaching method, etc. to construct a harmonious teacher -student relationship.Besides, I also try to prove the theories related to psychosphere by experiments. Exclusive from the regular teaching arrangement in the experimental class, I conducted some teaching strategies like, easing class atmosphere, developing teaching evaluation, raising learning interest and improving teaching methods, etc. In a word, the result of the experiments shows that a good psychosphere can raise the student's grades in English, arouse their positive feeling and reduce the negative one. It also benefits the teacher-student relation so that both cognition and emotion are achieved and the overall teaching quality is improved. At the end of the thesis, I raised some teaching strategies to form the psychoshpere including, the strategies to ease the atmosphere, teacher-student relationship, to develop evaluation, to arouse learning interest and to improve learning method, hopefully to contribute my share on this topic and benefit other teachers of English.
