| The new curriculum reform and development of society have created two important concepts: school-based research and specialization of middle school teachers. The latter is an inevitable choice about developing the career of individual teachers. School-based research is based on specific schools and teachers' own teaching. Distributed in the whole process of school education and teaching , the research is an effective way of developing teacher specialization. With the increasing pressure on admission of students into higher education and respecting their characteristics, it is necessary to meet the challenge by developing teacher specialization. After giving definitions to the two concepts, the thesis briefly introduces the origin, contents and significance and analyses the current situation of the specialization of middle school teacher in China. The key to the thesis is to elaborate five strategies on how to develop teacher specialization by five means of school-based research, that is, teaching diary and blog, educational science and research projects, construction of learning communities, classroom observing with hi-technology and school-based curriculum. The conclusion stresses the main ideas, pointing out deficiency and prospects, which suggests that development of teacher specialization is a constant and arduous task in teachers' life-long development. |
