It is an objective demand to carry out credit system and it is inevitable tendency toadapt to the development of economy in secondary vocational schools. Credit systemis a hot subject which gets the schools' attentions in modern society.This thesis first gives the definition of credit system, namely. It is an educationalmanagement system, which is more efficient for students to improve their qualities. Itbases on development theory, choice theory and life long learning theory. Secondly, asurvey and analysis were made, presenting three aspects in implementation of creditsystem:1) The educational executive departments ought to provide policies to ensure theimplementation of credit system.2) Various circles in the society ought to produce the environment for it.3) The second vocational school ought to make specific strategies to put the creditsystem into practice.At last, the credit system with vocational characteristics was designed, combiningpractical situation with comprehensive theories on the basis of case study. It aimsto encourage the students to give full play to their interests and skills, reaching themaximum. The students can be awarded by their performance and get more credits,which compensate the credits of basic courses. Well organized community activitieswill be brought into optional courses, which enables the students to gain the wholecredits by their outstanding performances so as to graduate from second vocationalschools.
