| Data Mining has been an urgent need because of increasing size of current databases.Rough Set theory, a new mathematical theory for mining and processing imprecise anduncertain data, has got great improvement under this background. Rough Set theory has alsobecome a main method for KDD due to its unique advantage in knowledge discovery.Rough Set is a kind of data analysis theory which was put forward by Pole Z.Pawlak in1982. Its main thought is: keeping the constant premise of the in formation systemclassification ability, the problem's classification or decision rule is derived by knowledgereduction. The application of Rough Set in Data Mining has obviously superiority it doesn'tneed to provide any knowledge outside of the data which needs to be processed, makes use ofthe equal value relations to measure the indetermination degree of knowledge, and so avoidsto the error which is brought about by subjective evaluation of knowledge.In this text ,we gathered the background and the present condition of the Rough Setresearch. We will carry on the research to the following contents: At first, it introduced thetheory foundation of the Rough Set, including the information system, the equivalence class,the undifferentiated relation, the lower and upper approximate sets and etc. Then, weintroduced the idea of the reduction of the Rough Set and the concept of the core. We use theRough Set to analyze the curriculum ability questionnaires of the high school science teachers,main analysis the relation between the science teacher's quality in recent years and carryinginto execution of the new curriculum standard, and getting worthy conclusion. This textprovide an availability approach to the execution of the new curriculum standard. And it doessome valuable research about how to use the Rough Set.
