| Mathematics learning strategy is a new field of study that is in the positivedevelopment, it has been noticed by many scholars. Mastering certain mathematicslearning strategies is the fundamental guarantee improved learning achievement andefficiency, and it is a necessary condition for good mathematics. Junior middle schoolstudents' mathematics learning difficulties is not one of the main reasons for the use ofmore active learning strategies and the form of an effective learning strategy system. Inthe context of the new curriculum reform in compulsory education stage, junior schoolstudents urgently need to master mathematics learning methods and strategies, and theirteachers need to understand the broad framework of mathematics learning strategy andcorresponding teaching methods also. Therefore, the study of mathematics learningstrategies of junior school students has important theoretical and practical significance. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a place Mongolian people gathered. Sincethe broad geographical of Inner Mongolia, different ethnic areas of political, economicand cultural differences are significant in the present, living environment of Han childrenand adolescents in rural areas and Mongolian children and adolescents pastoral areas isvery different, and their dietary habits and customs are not the same. Their intellectualdevelopment is bound to be a regional and national characteristic. However, the study ofmathematics learning strategies involving Mongolian students is very little in the present.This study provides reference for in-depth development mathematics education ofminority and it contributes to the further improvement of the quality of mathematicseducation in Inner Mongolia. The paper initially explored the definition, structure and function, factors such asbasic theory of mathematics learning strategy. And then on that basis, this study take acompletely investigation on the situation of four middle school students of Tongliao city,Erdos city and Wulanchabu city of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. The papermainly used questionnaire method and interview methods in the study. The sample is 543.Mathematics learning strategy has three dimensions in the mathematics learning strategyquestionnaire of junior students. After the investigation, questionnaire was establishedcoding system and conducted an internal constancy test. The results of the analysis showthat it has a good reliability and validity. After statistical analysis of the data, drew thefollowing conclusions:1. There were significant differences between Mongolian and Han students onmathematical learning strategy and the level of Mongolian students was better than Hanstudents;this difference is mainly caused by the mathematics meta-cognitive strategy.2. There were no significant differences in all dimensions of Mathematical learningstrategy between Mongolian and Han boys, while there were significant differencesbetween Mongolian and Han girls on Mathematical learning strategies and Mathematicalmeta-cognitive strategies, and Mongolian girls were better than Han girls.3. There were significant differences among students in all grades on Mathematicallearning strategy and its three dimensions. High-performance students have high levels ofmathematics learning strategy.4. The level of Mongolian junior students' mathematics learning strategies wassignificantly different among different regions.Based on these findings and conversation with local teachers and studentsparticipating in the investigation, the paper detailed analysis of the usage of mathematicslearning strategy about national, grade, gender, different performance group and otherfactors and its reason. Finally, some recommendations were presented about mathematicslearning strategy, and mathematics teaching specific cases of junior school were provided,which have some inspiration for the role of mathematics teaching. On learning strategytraining, teachers should play an active role and help the junior middle school students toform organic system of mathematics learning strategies and enhance their mathematicalability by conducting specialized lectures and systematically explaining mathematicslearning strategies in the math teaching. |
