Difficulties in learning, lower marks in exams and so on widely exist invarious news and reports that confront us in our daily life. The situation musthave drawn attention from all teachers and will eventually motivate us to studyand solve these problems. Low ranks of one or more subjects of students haveserious negative effects on the psychology of students, and also have long-termadverse effects in their future career. Being teachers who are contacting andadministrating students every day, we should pay special attention to the studentswho have less self-confidence. The learning psychology of students is complex,though they have common psychological and behavioral characters of teenagers,the effect and appearance which is shown on each student is a personal matter anddistinct from one another.In this study, the reason why high school students have difficulties in leaningchemistry was investigated and analyzed in detail. The aim of the program is todraw attentions from those who are responsible for the students such as parents,teachers as well as administrators, therefore help students to get rid of thedifficulties and become all-round developed people. They should never be ignored,but be given more kindness, help and advice.In this paper, investigation and analysis of literature, reports and news areadopted. Investigation includes questionnaires, visiting and some case studies.120 students were studied, and they were analyzed and classified according to theprevailing theory. Analysis was based on the intrinsic personalities andenvironmental factors. The intrinsic personalities include Learning-Motivationand cognitive factors, which are inner factors that limit the development oflow-ranked students. The motivation, self-recognition and level of aspiration ofthese students mainly affect their interest in learning chemistry, whilerepresentations, types of knowledge and defects in the knowledge network lead tothe loss of self-confidence. The environmental factors include influence of parents,ignorance of teachers and lower evaluations and expectations, which causeadverse effects on their personalities and self-confidence, and in turn affect theirpositivism, productivity and creativity. In some districts, lack of human resourceof teachers is also an important reason why some students are ignored.Many educational experiments demonstrate that low-ranked students can beconverted if certain reasonable methods are adopted. Teacher should find out thecauses leading to the learning difficulties, and help students to createself-confidence. They ought to treat these students fairly, give them moreattention and help them become all-round developed by imparting effectivestudying strategies and methods.
