How To Develop Students' Ability Of Independent Learning

One of the aims of the curriculum reform of this century is to change the negative effects of the "old" course which emphasizes too much on the teaching of knowledge, hoping to develop students' positive attitudes .Basic knowledge and skills should be obtained at the same time when students know how to study and form the right view of value. We must emphasis that education must be based on the students' physical and mental development, and good moral character. We should train their independence and initiative in study. That's to say training the students' ability of self-study is the primary task of teaching. The ability to make self-study makes the foundation of a meaningful study. Surely, an effective study owns some characters of self-study. Self-study, which indicates the students-centered teaching method, is also a requirement to improve the personality of students.This article talks about the definition of self-study and the form of the ability, analyses the basic strategies to motivate the students' abilities of self-study and teaching patterns.
