The interpersonal satisfaction is defined as individual's overall appraisal on his psychological relationship with the others according to the standard chosen by himself. Based on the interpersonal interdependence theory and the exchange theory, the researches on interpersonal satisfaction in the western world have thoroughly probed into those variables, such as sharing, support and conflict, personality and similarity etc, which combined individual cognition, emotion and behavior organically together. But what these researchers paid close attention to is the individual study on the satisfaction with marriage and intimate relationship. With much attention on individual's whole happiness and the satisfaction on his whole life at present, the research on the interpersonal satisfaction no longer is not confined to the study on relationship between two people, and progressively shifted to study the individual cognition on his whole interpersonal relationship and emotion. The researchers at home are devoted to construct the theoretical localization system in the interpersonal relationships, and are concentrating on studying Chinese interpersonal relationship orientation. Therefore, the research on the interpersonal satisfaction is still at the starting stage. In view of the researches at home and abroad, this paper will carry on the systematic discussion and study on this question.Proceeding from China's native culture, the research will penetrate into the structure of the interpersonal satisfaction by the questionnaire method, the course of which is divided into five stages: The first stage, compiling and packing up the positive and passive vocabulary describing interpersonal relationship satisfaction to work out the vocabulary grading questionnaire;The second stage, evaluating the vocabularies and exploring the structure of the interpersonal satisfaction by exploratory factor analysis;The third stage, combining the western theories and the analysis result of exploratory factor, and finally forming the interpersonal satisfaction questionnaire;The fourth stage, examining formally according to the sample convenience principle;At the fifth stage, confirming the theory frame of the interpersonal satisfaction by the confirmatory factor. The main conclusion got in this research is as follows(1) Under the background of Chinese culture, the individual appraises related to theinterpersonal cognition are linked to the six degrees: the Communication protective characters, reciprocal benefit and support, extroversion and capability, similarity and toleration, difference and conflict, ethical quality, all of which can be illustrated by two different respects: Unsatisfied dimension and satisfied dimension, i.e. the Chinese cognitive sense on the interpersonal satisfaction is a two entity.(2)The interpersonal satisfaction scale has higher internal consistency validity, and confirmatory factor analysis reveals the framework of this scale and theory frame have better fitting degree at the same time.(3) As a whole, Chinese are inclined to and satisfied with the appraisal of one's own interpersonal relationships, but with the years, the appraisal that people are unsatisfied with the interpersonal relationship improves, and the appraisal satisfied reduces gradually.(4) Gender, age and career are all influencing individual's appraisal on the relationship. The older people are, the lower individual's appraisal on the relationship;Women are notably higher than men to the appraisal of the relationship;Student's appraisal on one's own interpersonal relationships inclines even more to be satisfied than that of staff members.(5) Passive incidents, directly or through emotion, can influence the appraisal that individuals are unsatisfied with the interpersonal relationship, which lead to individual unsatisfied;The positive incidents, only through emotion, can influence individual's appraisal indirectly.(6) Relationship orientation and satisfied dimension present the prominent positive correlation, which proves that the higher the individual relationship orientation is, the more satisfied with the relationship he inclines to be. To a certain extent, the relationship fate dimension of relationship orientation can predict individual's appraisal on his interpersonal satisfaction.
