A Research On The Core Competence Of P.E. Major In Chinese Universities And Its Fostering

Influenced by the traditional educational system and the cultivating model, Chinese RE. Major is slow in reacting to the needs of all kinds of RE. talents .The students' comprehensive capacity is low and step into an unfavorable situation . Therefore, in order to survive in the competition and gain competitive advantages.P.E. Major must enhance its competence, especially its core competence.Using the methodologies of document, experts interview, logical inference,and SWOT analysis ,and using the theory and thoughts of the core competence in the realms of economics and managing science for reference, this paper discusses something about the core competence of RE. Major .It shows :1, RE. Major is facing a severely competitive situation. The competition is mainly made up of mutual competition between old RE. Majors,competition of new RE. Majors, mutual competition between RE. relevant majors ,inherent competition between students gaining and companies. 2,the study of RE. Major's core competence is on the first step at present .The result of it can not often be found, furthermore ,there are many defects in it including too much scene and meaning description, too little practice analysis ,mechanism analysis and countermeasure study .3, RE. Major's core competence is owned by itself ,and is hard to imitate by its rivals ,it is an integration of resources , knowledge and capacity, and it is an integrated power, which makes it different from other subjects and majors. 4,the elements of RE. Major's core competence includes educational conditions, the human resource such as P.E.teachers, management organizing ,and the quality of students ,and so on .The core competence is not a simple constructionof a few elements ,but a result of all the corporate elements .Therefore, P.E. Major must harmonize the relationship of elements of the core competence so as to gain and keep the competitive advantages in the serious competition,Basing on this, we put forward the fostering methods of P.E. Major's core competence, we should understand its core value, and put it in an exact position .We should actualize management innovation and continue to optimize and station the human resources, and continue to reform the content and system of curriculums. We should set up stratagem allies, and improve the comprehensive qualities of students, and continue to enhance P.E Major's core competence.
