Reading teaching is one of the key parts of middle school Chinese teaching. But how to teach Chinese effectively always puzzle teachers, which make the reading teaching remain in the situation of high consumption but inefficient. To solve those problems, I try to build a new pattern, appreciating reading teaching, basing on Constructivism, aestheticism modern learning theory and Chinese educational theory. The whole paper has three sections. The first section illustrates the theory basis of appreciating reading teaching , discussing the practicable of building a new pattern of appreciating reading teaching. The second section focuses on the basic process of appreciating reading teaching to let readers get a general idea of such kind of teaching form. The third section is about the application of appreciating reading teaching which is also the key par of the paper.It discusses about the structure,its performance and other problems.
