With entering WTO and the increase of the communication, English has become one of the most useful languages in our country. English education has held an important position in schools and colleges. English education in our country should step into a new stage. However, we have a long history of the influence of the examination-oriented education on English education. The traditional teaching approaches and models are still being used in English education in most of vocational schools of our city. It leads to the low efficiency and the grave tiredness of English learning to some students. The application of English pedagogy in the practical teaching activities should be multimodal. It should be some method applied in the common activities in which teachers and students are finishing teaching tasks. The Task-Based Approach refers to giving concrete and available tasks as learning motivations; completing tasks as learning processes; showing whether to finish tasks as teaching achievements. Students are the bodies in English teaching process and students'actions last through the whole English class. If the students have the concrete aims, they can independently and naturally use English that they have learned to achieve them. At the same time, they can improve their language abilities in the process of using English to complete the tasks. In order to solve the problems existing in English education, the author studied many English teaching methods and theories on education and psychology, especially compared with the Task-Based Approach. On the other hand, with the personal practical teaching experience, some experiments have been conducted in Dalian School of Commerce for one year. Task-Based Approach helps to improve the English scores of the students. II. This approach is helpful to develop the self-consciousness of the students. III. This approach assists to increase the efficiency of the English teaching and the students'learning in class.
