Jean Bardrillard is one of the well-known contemporary French philosophers in the world, who engaged in consumption society study. He makes a good contribution to the development of postmodernism. So Baudrillard is regarded as the leader of the postmodernism study. After 1980's, baudrillard becomes a worldwide outstanding theorist due to his postmodernism discourse. The paper gives a detailed study of baudrillard's thoughts of consumption society. Further more it pays more attention to the culture theory of the consumption society. The paper reviews the baudrillard's theory and shows the cultural character of postmodern period. It is clearly that there is a deeply concern among Baudrilld's social study, which is the basic attitude about the objects'cultural value in the cultural consumption. We can see this is the humanism care about our human being. Finally, the paper tries to provide the consultation and warning to our western cultural study.
