With the world economy being globalized, there is more and more fierce scientific and technological competition between nations. As a member of the WTO, we are badly in need of multitalented people who have not only a solid foundation of professional knowledge but also professional skills and other abilities and who know advanced science and technology and cultures of other countries. In view of the present situation and development, the Ministry of Education requires that colleges and universities in China should develop bilingual teaching. Therefore, we have a bounden duty to explore new teaching models to meet the demands.There are different views about bilingual teaching applied in subject teaching in the academic field. Surely, one of our bilingual teaching' s aim is to improve the students' applying English level, but there has not been direct data to prove it until now:the bilingual teaching connecting subject teaching surely can improve students' English listening , speaking and reading level and be helpful to teaching . If we can find some data which can show that Chemistry bilingual teaching could improve students' English level and would not take negative effect on subject teaching, furthermore, it can greatly improve teachers and students' interests in the chemistry bilingual teaching.
