Research Of Education Theory Localization

Research of education theory localization is the research that is based on the requirement of local education practice and education development. The aim is to construct the local education theory that contains not only the cream of our traditional culture, but also the modern advanced education ideology. Based on carefully analyzing the development of education theory in modern and contemporary times in our country, the communication and merging of international education theories, the requirement of economy and society modernization, this paper does some basic researches by employing theoretic method, historical method, documentary method and comparative method, etc. The content of this paper includes the following aspects: 1. The definition of education theory localization is given. Education theory localization is realized in two approaches, and can reach to four levels. 2. The necessity and possibility are discussed. The necessity is discussed from the requirement of the modernization and globalization of education, and the requirement of our own traditional culture and the development of education theories. Education theory belongs to "science of times". Areas, background, society and culture impact it, so education theory localization is possible. 3. The principles of education theory localization are constructed: the principle of connection of tradition and reality; the principle of connection of locality and globe; the principle of connection of theory and practice; the principle of connection of developing what is useful and discarding what is not and creation. 4. The approaches of education theory localization are discussed: we must carefully investigate the original education theory before we borrow it; we must go into the life world and meaning world of education to create local education theory, and borrow the other's education research methods to create our own methodology.
