The rural society of democracy needs the citizen with sense of participation and ability , it is a task for rural education to cultivate citizen for the democratic rural society . But in the present educational practice, there are all sorts of problems in rural schooling, because it deviates from the development of the countryside, it can't train citizens for the rural society.According to the case of Xinnong middle school, there are short of democracy in the class instruction and the management of the school. The teachers' language is not only a tool transmitted knowledge but also the carrier of power. In the classroom of the Xinnong middle school, there are short of democracy in teacher-student relation -ship. We see it from the mechanism of the effect of teacher's language, teacher's monopoly and distribution of language, its consequence is forfeiture of student's power sense. In some sense, management of school is disciplinary to students. It controls students' time and space strictly. The managers restrain students with strict norm, and maintain the normal effect by supervision and punishment. Students grow into" the object belongs to the subject " under normal restraint. School management ignores subject status of student , and students have no chance of participating in management.Only if the school of democracy can't train citizens, the schooling should be more democratic. In the democratic school, the class and management are democratic. The democratic class has three characteristics: equality, freedom and dialogue. In the school management of democracy, the time and space should become a tool which students arranged independently; The norm should serve for students' development, it should reflect subjective status of students; The school should strengthen and explore mode of participating in management and train the ability of management of students independently.
