Study purposeIn the process of sports training, the overload often induces the decrease of hemoglobin, which influences the sports ability. When the hemoglobin drops to the range of anemia number, the sports ability will be influenced as well as the pathologic change. Meanwhile, the health of the athletes will be damaged.The reticulocyte is the incompletely matured erythrocyte. The reticulocyte parameter can directly reflect the formation of marrow erythrocyte and the activity of the erythrocyte. It is very important to the judgement of the active status of marrow and it is valuable for the prediction, diagnostication and differentiation of the sports anemia as well as the observation of the curative effect.This study analyzes the characteristics of the reticulocyte parameter change before and after the decrease of exercise-induced hemoglobin which occurred in the sports training of the rats, so as to provide the evidences for better monitoring the hemoglobin decrease and preventing the sports anemia in training.Study methodsLet the rats swim in an adjustable swimming pool with flowing water, in which rats swim at progressive training load during eight weeks. Erythrocyte parameter and reticulocyte parameter are measured from rats' abdomen artery at every weekend. The mode of training is 20 minutes, velocity of flow 23.3 cm/s at the beginning of the first week and increase by degrees, till the rats are exhausted at the end of the last week with the velocity of flow 29.6 cm/s.ConclusionsIn the growth period, compared to the training group, the common group rats' erythrocyte parameter and reticulocyte parameter fluctuated in a certain range, and the MCV, CHCM, CH, MFR%, MFR, HFR%, HFR, CHCMr and RDWr were fluctuated greatly.We measured the reticulocyte parameter of the rats in the growth period of 9-18 weeks, the results are Retic% 1.8-3.1%, LFR%4 1.6-61.6%, MFR% 32.3-41.8%, HFR% 5.5-22.6%, IFR 38.4-58.4%, CHr 18.0-19.3p, CHCMr 26.8-29.3g/dL, MCVr 62.6-70.5fL, RDWr 9.3-12.2%, CHDWr 1.91-2.25pg, HDWr 2.23-3.08g/dL.When the hemoglobin decreases as the result of the sports training, the CHr, MCVr and CHDWr increase dramatically while the CHCMr and HDWr fall observably.During the decreasing of hemoglobin owing to training, there is significant negative correlation between Retic#, IFR, MFR, HFR of the reticulocyte parameter in the earlier week and the hemoglobin in the later week, the correlation coefficients are 0.555, 0.611, 0.589 and 0.634, and there was significant positive correlation between CHCMr and the hemoglobin, the correlation coefficient is 0.517, of which the IFR is the highest, (p.s.
