A Research Of Ideological And Political Education In University And Talents Cultivation

Nowadays, it is an era of globalization and interdependence, in which all the countries and regions, in order to have sustainable development of society and economy, are establishing wide international communication and collaboration as well as increasingly serious competition. The international competition, exteriorly speaking, is an all-round competition of economy, science potential and cohesion of a people, basically, is the competition of knowledge and qualified personnel. Therefore, to have a resource of talented and competitive persons is critical to a nation or people.In our country, to cultivate qualified personnel is a long-term task which is given great stress. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCPC) and the State Department proposed resolutions on strengthening the work of qualified personnel and proposals on reinforcement of the ideological and political education of the college students in December,2003 and August, 2004 . The former moves the strategy of qualified personnel's contribution to nation's development, which means that qualified personnel is the key to the development of the party and the country. The latter analyzes the present situation and task faced by the ideological and political education of the college students, and suggests the guiding ideology, basic principles, the main tasks, emphasis and major approaches. The two documents guides the work of reinforcing the ideological and political education of the college students in today's new situation.A major task of university education is to cultivate qualified successor and builder of socialism.
