Anti-indoctrination was one of the most powerful and revolutionary educational trend in the last century. In the west, the matter has been known popularly. It's not only one appeal of the masses, but also a theme of educational theory studying and practical changing. Unfortunately it's still has no theory which can influence educational practice really in China. Indeed there are so many disputes on those issues such as 'what is indoctrination? 'or 'Is indoctrination acceptable ? ' etc. Out of the deep anxious for the actuality of research and my own repulsion on indoctrination, the paper survey those questions of educational theory and practice by the numbers. I hope that it can afford some theoretic contribution to go against the indoctrination even more thoroughly.The paper attempt to animadvert on those issues of indoctrination with the framework and standard of Scheffler, which had been used to analyze the educational statements. Firstly, analyzing the viewpoints and arguments of those issues on indoctrination or anti-indoctrination. For which to show that 'indoctrination' is unacceptable to be a pedagogy term. Secondly, base on the full inspection on the meaning of indoctrination, it can be asserted that indoctrination is a metaphor rather than a pedagogy term. After that the theory quality and the flaw of indoctrination was shown in details. Finally, surveying on various slogans through clarifying the problem of differentiate between the issues on indoctrination in the west and china. Base on the judgement on the rationality and needed of anti-indoctrination, the paper shows some new developments on this area in the west. I hope that it can be helpful to build our confidence and wisdom to go against the indoctrination in educational theory and practice.
