The Research On Condition And Construction Of Humanism Of The College Students

As the famous educator Yang Shuzi says, "Man will fall behind if there is no technology advancement, and if there is no humanity education, man will fall into the cultural darkness caused by technology advancement and the abysm of society extinction." The university student is the youth pioneer, social quintessence , and mankind future, contemporary university student's character directly relate to modern civilization developments and with the development of society future. The higher education should to completely integrate the humanities education with the science education, and educate the student to be quintessence, unifying the humanism and science spirit in the contemporary university students .This thesis takes Henan Province undergraduates for example to do research into the humanism and probes into the ways of cultivating the humanism of undergraduates .The thesis is composed of the following four sections :Sections One explains the reason why the author selects this theme and its significance. Section Two reveals the connotation and development of humanism from there aspects, the meaning, evolvement and modern essence. Section Three makes comments on the present conditions of undergraduates humanism, brings forward the existing problems and sets forth the cause by analyzing the data collected in documents, questionnaires and interviews. Section Four puts forward some relevant policy propositions by linking with practice and discusses the role which the country, society, university and family play in humanism cultivation.To sum up, the thesis researches the present conditions of college students' humanism and reveals the reason .It builds up a theoretical framework of fostering the humanity of undergraduates providing reference for the reform of higher education.
