| The development of human needs better education than now. Many people made and are making a great deal of research on early education for infants and toddlers. These past and present studies show the significance of early education for infants. The early education for infants is turning into a tidal current not only of the world but also of China, where the system of preschool education has holden early education for infants. However, the framework of preschool education can't cover every infant, toddler and baby, especially those babies who aren't enrolled in kindergarten, infants' school or nursery school. Therefore the early education and instruction was brought forward in Shanghai, which orientates its function in light of facing communities and instructing parents to develop family education, exerts all parent's powers into the early education, constructs the system of the early education for infants. At present, the infants families are gradually being radiated by the new system, although which is encountering numerous obstacles.On the background of Shanghai, this study described and reviewed the situation of the early education and instruction work in detail. It tried to how to open out that parent education would be pushed easily in the early education and instruction system, that the great value of parent education is obvious to the early education and instruction work, and why parent education couldn't come true in the system presently.Qualitative research is the main research method employed in this study. The 25 objects are from seven public early education and instruction centers of the district, four private early education centers and one magazine on parenting. Multiple methods of data collection were adopted including on-site observation, interview and documents analysis. All the interview records were transcribed and were read repeatedly along with field notes and documents. Themes, comments and ideas emerging during this period were written down and acted as guidelines for further data -analysis. At last the themes were categorized and sequenced into the final report.Ecological System Theory and Lifelong Education Theory both lay the foundation for this report. Basing on Ecological System Theory, the development of infants and parents is in the ecological system. The parent who parents his infant is in the very core of the system of the infant, as the same as the infant. The influnce between parents and infants is mutual. Basing on Lifelong Education Theory, parents need education and instruction when their infants are still infants, which will lay foundation for the long-life continuable development. All those theories provide a very good angle of view to the activity of teaching-researching group, this thesis is based on them.The coincidence between parent education and the early education and instruction was amply described in this report. Ulteriorly, parent education enriches the early education andinstruction. The ideas which is in the brain of the correlate personnel, is inclined to affirmation and sustainment.By analyzing the available activity of teacher development, the report puts forward some suggestions for improving the activity of parent education , including (1) changing concept, uderstanding facing parents basing on equality and parent education basing on harmonious; (2)inclining to the parents of the social vulnerable groups ; (3)depending on universities, extending basic studies, developing correlate program; (4)starting social human resources to being the volunteers of parent education. |
