The real objective of education is to have a man in the condition of continually asking and thinking problems. The slogan, Problem Solving was put forward by American Teachers Union in the fourth International Mathematics Education Conference. Since then, educational researchers at home and abroad have been exploring and researching constantly in this field. Therefore, they have made plenty of valuable achievement. In accordance with the present situation of mathematics teaching in Chinese middle schools; Based on the former achievement of Mathematics Education and combine with the author's own practice in teaching. This dissertation is intended to research a teaching method Which suits the new situation—Problem-Solving Teaching Method.The dissertation consists of four subsection: The first subsection summarizes the background of study of Problem Solving. The second subsection introduces the theory of Problem Solving. The third subsection puts forward principle of Problem Solving, according to the current situation of mathematics teaching. The fourth subsection is teaching practice. It confirmed that the Problem- Solving Teaching Method is more advanced than the traditional methods.
