Human resource management is very important in the past, and its importance will be larger in the future. The management of employees' career planning and development is an indispensable part of human resource management and it is also one of the important duties of human resource management department and personnel. The suitableness of one's career design and the correctness of career choice have direct relevance to the success or failure of life cause. Occupational interest is little by little consummate and ripe during the college stage. College students are the important resources of organization. Studying the college students' occupational interest helps organizations to set up corresponding human resource system, and to attract and bring college students' working talents into full play. It is also the significant content of human resource management and development. Combined all these, it is necessary to investigate and analyze the occupational interest of current college students. We drew up an occupational interest questionnaire on the basis of a great number of documents and the latest occupational materials to explore current college students' occupational interest structure under the backgrounds of Chinese culture. We collected the occupational and daily activities college students like through the openquestionnaire firstly. On the basis of this and other occupational interest questionnaires we formed the original occupational interest questionnaire. Then we chose 110 college students from SuZhou University and had an attempting measurement on them. We analyzed the outcomes of attempting measurement, deleted some items and formed our formal occupational interest questionnaire. This questionnaire was administrated to 464 college students in three universities and colleges which collaborated with us in this study. By using principal factor analysis and derived Scree Plot , 6 sorts of interest were obtained. They are : conventional, outdoor, investigative, enterprising, artistic and social. Finally, we compared the differences of students who had different characters on the basis of six sorts of occupational interest.
