As we know, whenever teaching reformation faces great development, people usually would over again reflect on and animadvert on the former teaching theories, which is nearly a regular phenomenon in the developmental history of teaching theories. Thus, the existential theory theories can be renascent constantly.In recent years, teaching reformation develops like a raging fire, but currently it encounters obstacles that have never be seen before. Tracing the reasons, the key belongs to the ingrained disadvantages of teaching theories---- based on epistemology. For a long time, unitary epistemology has a dominated and decided function in the teaching theory and teaching practice of our country, and educators believe that teaching course is "a kind of special understanding course". This kind of "epistemology of teaching theory" deduces the teaching practice to a value trend that knowledge is the most important and a set pattern of imparting knowledge. And the complicated teaching activity is hidden by the explanation of the unitary, decided epistemology. All these root from the immanent epistemology thinking style. Although "the epistemological teaching theory" has efficient function in imparting systematically knowledge, however trying to perfect the epistemology from the point of view of the fully development of man, it is impossible to remedy the limitation of the thinking style. If still holding the epistemological foundation, the teaching problems cannot ultimately be solved. So from the point view the understanding of the hermeneutics, it seems more suitable to see teaching as understanding course rather than knowing course, and as existentialism rather than epistemology. Understanding teaching theory explains people's current puzzle to people's homage and practical activity to the teaching theory, and tries to find out a way to settle the problems. Understanding teaching relying on its dismantling power challenges the teaching epistemology. Animadverting on the former teaching theory and constructing understanding teaching theory become the certain trend of the development of the teaching theory. Giving philosophy reflection to the currently existential epistemology of regnant teaching theories over again, trying to take apart the epistemology rupture, and walking out of the "Plato hole"---- are the teaching theories based on epistemology. And at the same time establishing the teaching theory based on understanding theory, and constructing understanding teaching theory system.Understanding is the core connotation of the hermeneutic philosophy. From the history development of the hermeneutic philosophy, we can understand its connotation clearly. Understanding is in a given context where the main body makes use of the communication in the field of cognition, sensation and behavior to actualize the life meaning. This is the foundation of the understanding teaching theory. Starting from the root foundation of the understanding teaching theory, understanding theory ultimately achieves the life meaning express between the teacher and the student through guiding their mutual understanding, developing the student's knowledge and skills and enriching their feeling. The essential characteristics of understanding teaching are that, it is a kind of teaching that enriches the humanity and cultivates the integrality of man; the relationship between man and knowledge is inspective amalgamation, the relationship between teacher and student is intercourse and conversation.Walking from theory perspective to the pursuit of understanding teaching practice is to actualize the construction of the understanding teaching theory system. The design of understanding teaching objectives is to eliminate the misunderstanding, enhance the understanding, and the accretion and development of both the teacher and the student.
