The Principle And Method Of The Neutral Tone Teaching In Putonghua

Neutral tone is a kind of special but common modulation in the pronunciation of Putonghua, It not only plays an important role in conveying feelings , expressing meanings exactly and strengthening the musical characteristic of Chinese pronunciation. But also is one of the most important criterions to judge if one's Putonghua is up to standard.But the uncertainty of neutral tone and the lack of the sense of neutral tone in those people who lives in dialect area and also is influenced by dialect make neutral tone teaching a difficult point in Putonghua teaching .Especially in the teaching of primary and middle school, the teaching of Neutral Tone ,which is one of important contents in the teaching of phonetics, did not cause enough attention because the teacher there put more emphasis on literature but neglect pronunciation.Besides,the study on the theory of neutral tone is rather weak,and the explore on the principle and method of neutral tone is a piece of totally blank sheet. Meanwhile, explaration was made in accordance with the optimization of teaching method,and a conclusion that emphasis should be paid on the comprehensive wage of different methods, different methods for different individuals, the modernization of teaching methods was drawn.
