With internationalization of education tending to be enforced, the function of English, as a tool for the communication in academic field, has been paid more and more attention, and in judging compound qualified personnel it is a crucial criterion whether you can apply academic English. In order to achieve this criterion and enhance students' overall quality, a new model has attracted universal attention that is Chinese-English bilingual education in various courses. In the 21st century the internationalization of education enable bilingual education to break the traditional rules for teaching a language, to be given a new connotation, and to be a trend in the current reform of education.P.E. class has a unique advantage for learning a foreign language in following aspects: it provides students with a more spacious area for their intelligent developing; it makes action and English words easier to be understood because teacher always set an example while explain the action; it also makes the teaching environment close to nature, and to a real world. All these aspects, which are helpful in learning a foreign language, are what the classroom lacked. Because of important, emergent and novel reason, bilingual education has enhanced both teachers' and students' enthusiasm in P.E. class.The thesis has studied, from theoretical and experimental aspects, the possibility of implementing bilingual education in P.E. class on the base of formerresearch on the same issue. It adopted many methods as scanning former literatures, questionnaire, investigation, mathematical static, expert interviewing, logic analysis and teaching experiment. The author of this thesis has read many books about theories of bilingual education, P.E. teaching, English teaching and teaching experiment before come to the conclusion that bilingual education in non-P.E.-major basketball class can achieve the same standard as normal basketball class, furthermore, it can also promote students' interest in English and improve their basketball English. The experiment has proved the possibility of this teaching model.
