A brand-new subject, environmental education, resulting from the fact that environment problems become outstanding with the social progress and the science and technology used widely, comes out and develops rapidly. Nowadays the environmental education is carrying out in many kindergartens, and some effects have been achieved to some degree. However, these effects arc not very satisfying because of the unitary preaching teaching method, lacking of organic infiltration among subjects, or overlapping and contradiction, etc. Rim, being characteristic of magnificent color, lively image, fancy cartoon and true-to-life seeing and hearing, gets the children's favor. Can we take the advantage of film's enchantments to develop children's awareness of environment protection? This paper intends to prove the proposition that the filmcourse promotes the environmental education in kindcrgarteaIn the first section, the paper elaborates the context of the environmental education reform, introduces the past and the present study status in this domain at home and aboard, and moves on to state the status quo in Chinese kindergarten, points out the practical significances of the above proposition as well as the malpractices in traditional environmental education.In the second section, in view of the compendia of environmental education in kindergarten, this paper makes out the study aim, contents and theory basis, summarizes the general psychological features of children in kindergarteaIn the third section, the paper elaborates the teaching design of filmcourse in kindergarten, including course design of pre-class, mid-class, later-class, along with implicit course design. On the basis of the former, the charts of teaclling mode arc elicited, which are the premise and guarantee of the above propositba Meanwhile, these charts provide the reference of filmcourse teaching practice for teachers.Based on the conclusion of the above sections, in the forth section, taking Experimental Kindergarten, which locates in Ping Xiang city, Jiang Xi province, as a case study, the paper confirms the above proposition by stating the experiment process and analyzing the experiment datura The paper also discusses and evaluates the ellects of the filmcourse experiment.The fifth section is the conclusion and relevant appraisement for the whole study, making clear the study direction of the future.
