The Application Research Of Knowledge Management In Web-based Education Resources Management

With the growth of technology in network and education, Web-based education is developing rapidly. The construction and management of teaching resources is the core of web-based education. How to manage education resources efficiently and make good use of them so that they can reach to large-range share and transfer knowledge, is a important content of web-based education resources management. Upon the web-based education resources management actuality, this paper not only introduces knowledge management technology and employs it to analyzes the several problem about web-based education resources management and discuss the approach and method, but also bring forward own plan and elementary system design.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction. Firstly, the chapter explores briefly the development of Web-based education in China and abroad and many existing problems during the development, such as great quantity of information, unorganized in disorder, not easy to search and use, in the form of multimedia and a lot of information format type, be various of quality, lack of standardization and specification, lack of quality control and management mechanism. Then it states that with the research of knowledge management getting more and more deep and the development of network technology, the trend of web-based education resources management shifts from information management to knowledge management in order to share and reuse. Lastly, it gives a brief introduction of aim and meaning of the research..The second chapter is literature review of web-based education resources management. Owing to no definition of web-based education resources, the chapter explores the definition of web-based education resources, then brings forward to the characteristics and classifications of web-based education resources and analyses the actuality of web-based education resources management. Lastly, the chapter summarizes the development mode of web-based education resources management.The third chapter is on some basic theories about knowledge management. The chapter gives a brief introduction of the definition of knowledge management, the differences of knowledgemanagement and information management and the basic functions of knowledge management. Then, the chapter elaborates the relation of knowledge management and web-based education resources management and application of knowledge management in web-based education resources management. The aim is to improve the disadvantage of web-based education resources management and accomplish its shifting from information management to knowledge management.The fourth chapter explores the knowledge management in web-based education resources management. Due to its special characteristics and types, the traditional mode and technique of information and resources management can not be used in web-based education resources management. It is a new trend to explore the new way to manage web-based education resources from knowledge management. The chapter elaborates the organization, search, collection and evaluation of web-based education resources from knowledge management.The fifth chapter is the design and development of a web-based education resources management system based knowledge management. Through the discussion of the theory and technology of knowledge management, this chapter designed an open and user-centered management system, which can manage the web-based education resources distributedly and share these resources from different websites.
