Learning motivation can motivate, maintain and regulate students' learning behavior, and it is a key factor to guarantee the implement of teaching. A great number of literatures show that the motivational state of Chinese undergraduate is not so optimizing that is imperative to solve. It is the learning state of the students' on every course that reflects their learning motivation. Therefore, some strategies must be involved into instructional design. However, the researches on motivation theories in instructional design are not enough and few can provide effective direction. This thesis tries to introduce some influential motivational theories from psychology field into instructional design so as to provide practical design process with practical guidance.The thesis first carries through literature search and gets to know the learning motivation features of undergraduate and their formatting reasons According to these features and reasons, the paper integrates some influential motivation theories into the five parts of instructional system design and presents eighteen design strategies and three design principles from the perspective of motivating undergraduates' learning motivation. Inviting twenty professionals to judge these design strategies guarantees the reliability of the research conclusion. A successful teaching reform course-
