| The author of this paper, Jialong Zhong, works in Jimei Light Industry School as a math lecturer after graduation from the Math Department of Fujian Normal University in 1989.With the reform of recruiting systems in work places and the increasing craze for senior high schools has declined sharply. Accordingly, teaching objectives, ideas and approaches have to be adjusted.Based on the exploration of the status quo of the math learning of students in secondary specialized schools, this paper proposes some teaching strategies with the hope of having some value for reference.Though questionnaires, interactions with both teachers and students, and fact-finding tests, it is found that students in secondary specialized schools in general have a weak base in math and lack interest and confidence in leaning. Besides, a huge gap exists in their mastery levels. Therefore, teachers shall pay full attention to the role of non-intelligence factors such as motivation, interests and perseverance in the students' learning. They shall develop new ideas about teaching, stress the training of mathematical way of thinking, strategic and computer-aided teaching. They shall lead students to take initiative and learn the way of learning. Stratified teaching is necessary to cater for the individual differences in math learning. |
