The State Of Environmental Education In Primary And Middle School With Research On Its Countermeasures

As we all know, the earth is the base which all the human beings depend on. However, the environment is getting worse and worse. Why? It's because of the destruction by human beings. Fortunately, the environmental problem has drawn great concern around the globe. "Environmental Protection Depends on Education." So I think, the environmental education of primary and middle school is the base which decides whether the world environmental education will succeed or not and has something to do with what kind of personnel training in the 21st century. And because the environmental education in China was launched later than that abroad. Educational system paid more attention to examinations, and the environmental education of primary and middle school was ignored. As a result, the environmental consciousness, behavior and practice of the students cannot be improved. In this thesis, aiming at the environmental education of primary and middle school, I not only analyses the present situation and the existing problem, but also set forth the characteristics of eras and the sense of urgency, and combine the practice of establishing provincial and city green school and environmental education demonstrational school, then I give an preliminary exploration of building up the theory for the environmental education of primary & middle school and the strategy for its practice. I am trying to build an environmental education pattern suitable for present students' characteristics, hoping it will be not only helpful for theory research, decision making and its practice, but also helpful for further strengthening environmental education practice in primary and middles schools.
