Research On Portfolio Application

Multi-evaluation methods is a important aspect of new curriculum reform, and is a kind of developmental student evaluation. Portfolio assessment is a kind of developmental education evaluation, it is a typical quality evaluation . The new issued curriculum criterion ( test draft ) put forward clearly that using portfolio assessment promotes students to develop. The application of portfolio is still in test stage, it is a program that need to explore . This paper aims at revealing that the portfolio assessment weather affect students' academic performance, learning attitude , and explore how to use its advantage in pratice. This paper explores mainly from practice. This paper has first elaborated the evaluation concept of new curriculum reform , and the programs and the characteristic of developmental curriculum evaluation, secondly have elaborated the portfolio' s concept, type, meaning as well as how to found and judge; Then have elaborated in detail how to use specificly portfolio in mathematics teaching reality, with full and accurate material, specific actual operating sequence have explained its utilize. In term of teaching objectives and course standard, I have set up two different type of portfolio,one is precess mode, which reflect students' knowledge grasp, the other is display mode, which display students' learning fruit, and arouse their achievement feelings as well as interest in learning. Through the experiment, It has reached the following conclusions: portfolio assessment is helpful for students to grasp mathematics knowledge and improve their ability ,and it is helpful for the raising of ability of problem-solving, and it is helpful for students to form good emotion attitude as well as other non-intellectual factors, and it is helpful for continuous improvement of students' self-cognitive, self-evaluation, self-encourage etc other self-education ability.
