Content: Masses cultivation in which schools played animportant role was an indispensable measure for ruling in ancient times. During last years of the Song Dynasty with ethnic contradiction deteriorating, social undulating, government shools declining, classic academies played an essential part in cultivation. Based on its implementing policy of Hanhua, the government of Yuan Dynasty strengthened the function of academies' commons cultivating. In the course of changing of regime, academies educated public more widely. The academies owned such masses-educating ways which had a great influence on the society as promoting good relations between family members and relatives, offering sacrifices to old scholars and carrying on their spirit, training students to set an example to common people. Throughout the Yuan Dynasty, government's policy of making academies turn into state-run schools was an essential measure to consolidate academies' role of cultivating masses in specific period, as a result their function was enhanced than ever.
