From 1968, altitude training has been a highlight in the international academia of sports medicine. The main stimulate factor of altitude training is hypoxia. Hypoxia adaption could lead lots of physiological changes that propitious to aerobic capability. For these reasons, altitude training has been a focus, but it is still controversial. From 1980s, several countries have made great progress in the field of " simulated living high-training low ". During the process of research, some scientists came to know that intermittent hypoxia is a better means of training than the traditional chronic hypoxia.Intermittent hypoxia provides a general protection to the organism, which could improve the capacity to deliver and utilize O2. The IH (Intermittent hypoxia) training would become a part of the entire training program. Different models of hypoxia stimulations could activate different sensing mechanisms, and then there will be different adaptions. But in any case, the molecular mechanism of adaption to IH is the future directions of research. The latest hypothesis suggests that intermittent hypoxia is a sustained preconditioning stimulus. Hypoxia preconditioning is that the organisms' hypoxic tolerance duration will be prolonged after many times of transient hypoxia adaption. This experiment consulted the hypoxia preconditioning model of Lv Guowei et al, we treated hypoxia precondioning as a training means. After 6 weeks prolonged training, we detected the mices' weight, hemoglobin, hepatatrophia, the activity of SDH in skeletal muscle and the expression of HIF-1a mRNA in brain. The results indicated that hypoxia preconditioning combined with aerobic training could significantly increase the aerobic capability of mice. As a kind oftraining measure, appropriate and scientific hypoxia preconditioning is efficient to increase the aerobic capability.
