This paper discusses the model status in quo in the composition teaching of middle school. It analyses some problems due to the status and indicates that individual teaching is the aim and direction of the compositions' in middle schools. It brings forward the ways and strategies to solve the problems and achieve the aims , which is the literature character of composition teaching.There are three parts in this disquisition: the model of the composition teaching in middle school, the individuality of the composition teaching in middle school and the literature character of the composition teaching in middle school.PartiThe traditional model composition teaching no longer acclimatizes itself to the development of the modern education and it has given some negative effort. To reform the teaching form, we must break the traditional teaching mode.Part IIThe developing direction of the modern composition teaching is to go infor the individuality. The teachers must try to bring up the individuality of the students and the students must try to show their individuality in the writing.Part IIIIn this part it analyses the necessary of the literature character in the composition teaching. The part brings forward the bridge function what it acts as in solving the model problem and realizing the individuality aim. It also explains the ways for students to go on with literature writing.
