In recent years, great importance has been attached to the reforming of the courses of our national basic education. It has now become a challenging subject for teachers to study how to get adapted to the change of courses, teaching approaches and the goal of basic education reforming, how to achieve a fair and objective evaluation of students' performance, and even how to take advantage of the evaluation to promote students' progress.This paper analyzes the problems with our conventional evaluation systems, drawing on the experience of some new evaluation approaches abroad, especially the file pouches evaluation. First, I analyze the definitions, characteristics, classification and principles. Then I explore the contents in the physics learning file pouch: how to set up students' psychology file pouch, physics learning file pouch, self-reflection file pouch and experimenting abilities file pouch; how to decide on their contents and how to carry out this program. I also do some tentative researches on evaluating these files. Practice has revealed that the setting up of physics learning file pouches has stimulated the students' interest to learn this course. With the file pouches, students will be able to find out the difficulties, learn how to solve them, and then be capable of judging the effects and progress of their learning.My researches conducted are mainly based on investigation, interview, analysis of real teaching examples and reflections upon practicing. And I have a further discussion of the setting up of physics learning file pouches and their carrying out and evaluating, analyzing the pros and cons of the file pouches. I, in this paper, express my self-reflection so as to exchange ideas more easily with other teachers who are doing the same job.
