Creativity is the soul and impetus for developing creative power, and so cultivate students' creativity is the most important and effective measure in developing their creative power. Therefore, how to improve teachers' understanding and implementing level in developing students's creativity embodies the increasingly great development of education reform.Combining quantitative with qualitative analysis method together, this study investgates and probes into the present situation of teachers' understanding and implementing of developing students' creativity. The results are indicated as followings:1 Middle school teachers' understanding and implementing of developing students' creativity are generally at a medium or a little low level.2 The factor "academic credentials of middle school teachers" has significant influence on their cultivating students' creativity .3. The factors in school have multiple correlation to teachers' developing of students's creativity. Among these factors , the important are conditions provided by school for teachers' development, general mood of school and relations between teachers and students.4. Teachers' value plays an important role on their developing of students' creativity.5. The understanding and implementing of developing students' creativity of teachers who really like this career are better than those feel "locked in"; while teachers who will still choose to be teachers are better than those who won't.6 There is a significant difference in the developing students' creativitybetween art and science teachers, and the understanding and implementing level of the latter are much higher than the former.
