In such a new age that worships creation, creativity cultivation becomes the focus issue in the field of education. It has become one of the most important goals of education to foster the creative spirit and explore the creativity of the students. During the course of creativity cultivation, the relationship of knowledge and creativity development is a problem that cannot be evaded. What are the relationships of knowledge and creativity? What is the role of knowledge in the course of creativity development? What are the requirements for knowledge education that are demanded by the creativity development? How do we carry out the knowledge education in order to advance the development of the students' creativity effectively? Such are some of the questions this article tries to answer.The psychologists held different views on the relationships of the knowledge and creativity all along. The first part of this article gives statements on these different views and some pertinent researches. By further analysis, the author illuminate that the knowledge does not only impede the development of creativity, but also plays an important role during the creative activities. The second part of this article explains the concept of creativity first and approve that knowledge is one of the essentials in the development of creativity. The focal point in this part is to discuss how the knowledge advances the development of creativity. First, creativity requires diverse and large amount of knowledge; second, skillful and structural knowledge are beneficial to the creative activities; third, different types of knowledge have different effects on the development of creativity; fourth, the courses of knowledge mastery and application are also have influences on it The complex relationships of knowledge and creativity development remind us that although knowledge is the essential part of creativity, the effects it acts on creativity are conditional. Therefore, knowledge or the mastery of knowledge will definitely useful to the development ofcreativity. In fact, the development of creativity raises a series of requirements to the knowledge education. The third part of this article clarifies these requires: promote the application of knowledge in the practices; master basic, diverse and reasonably structural knowledge; pay attention to the self-exploration of knowledge in the students; use diverse ways to make evaluation to knowledge education. In the light of such requirement, the last part of this article reflects on the problems of knowledge education in our country and gives some analyses to their causes of formation. First, it pays more attention to the accumulation of knowledge, less to the construction of reasonable knowledge structure. Second, it pays more attention to the result of knowledge accumulation, less to the course of knowledge learning. Third, it pays more attention to the mastery of knowledge, less to the application of knowledge in practice. According to these problems and their causes of formation, the article raises some measures to improve the knowledge education in the end. The measures for such reformation are: to change the traditional views on knowledge and. construct a reasonable knowledge structure which is beneficial to the creativity development for the students; to change the views on instruction and use new ideas to guide me instruction process; to establish relevant systems; to ensure the material conditions for the students development of creativity. |
