The Recessive Ideological Education In College

Educationists throughout the world are considering the problem that how to effectively realizes the ideological education in college.During the past several decades, we usually adopt the so-called Way of Inculcating to fulfill ideological education in China, which has produced some good result to some degree during a long time. However, to put forward ideological education only through the Way of Inculcating appears rather pale and weak at the end of 20th century compared with the large number of newly coming ideologies and ideas since the Reform and Open Policy. Thus, the systematization of ideological education has become the most pressing matter of the moment.The conception of recessive ideological education, which is the opposite to the dominant ideological education, was first put forwarded and carried out by westerner scholars .On campus in China now, the recessive ness of ideological education mainly manifests in the following three aspects. Firstly, the recessive ideological education elements on campus environment, such as buildings and sculptures .We can call it recessive ideological education in substance form. Secondly, the recessive ideological education hidden in the system of college, such as the managing system of college, the collective living system and so on. We can call it recessive ideological education in system form. Thirdly, the elements of recessive ideological education in the soft environment, such as the construction of campus culture and the demonstration of teachers. Such we can call it the recessive ideological education in mental form.It is obvious that we should combine the dominant and recessive ideological education together and form the system of the ideological education of Chinese character when we are fulfilling the college ideological education in the future.
