With the human society stepping into the 21st century, there happened an unprecedented revolution in economic field, new-type industry marked by high-technology industry arose, knowledge became the base of economic development, knowledge economy has arrived powerfully. The appearance of this era not only brings great change in the social economic field, but also has great influence on people's life, work, even thinking mode. On the base of this background, the author puts forward and discusses the creative thinking education, to make positive preparation for the challenges brought by the knowledge economic era.Since the beginning of human society, knowledge has been linked to economic activities. With the continual development of social economy, knowledge has gradually mixed together with economy. In the knowledge economic era, knowledge will be the main source and productive factor in the society. Knowledge, especially new knowledge turns into the decisive factor in economic and social development. Knowledge economy is the economy that bases on the production, distribution and usage of knowledge, it is the outcome that knowledge has been gradually mixing with economy and continually innovating. Knowledge becoming the important power in promoting economy makes that, in the field of economy, high technology has pushed the industrial construction forward to a high level; knowledge has become the first productive factor, taking the place of soil in agriculture and capital in industry; the labor in high technological industry is higher than that in agriculture and industry; and the revolution in electronics industry and information industry have become the motive forces of economic development. The knowledge-based in economic field is bound to propose higher and newer demand to the education, which should have chosen relationship with the development of economy and society to provide various intellectuals and knowledge for the modernization construction. This is not only the demand of the development of modernization cause, but also the demand of adapting the technology revolution and economy challenges in the world.Innovation is the main power in the evolution of society and historical development, the history of anthropology is that of creativity, especially in the knowledge economic era, knowledge innovation as the key of innovation has become the soul and spirit of development. The knowledge economy not only depends on creativity, but also prompts higher creative demand to people, all these come from the knowledge creative thinking. Thinking is the essential distinction between human being and animal, the reason why man becomes the master of all the animals is that man can keep on bringing forth the new option, new theory, and try their best to realize it to push forward the development of history. In different economic formation, different stages of the development of human society, there are some thinking modes that take power of the others. In the whole history of thinking, human being's thinking mode under went the direct perceived whole thinking mode in the ancient time, to the metaphysical thinking mode and dialectical thinking mode in the modern times. While in the knowledge economic era, knowledge innovation need take advanced thinking mode as guide, which possesses entirety, practice, creativity and opening. Creative thinking is the expression of the high development of humanbeing's thinking ability, it takes innovation as basic feature, it is the comprehensive utilization of some thinking, and it is the premise of knowledge innovation. So, the crux of knowledge economy's development is to train creative personnel who have creative thinking, the purpose is to maintain continued knowledge innovation ability.The education of creative thinking is the efficient way to cultivate creative intellectual.
