In a modern society in which culture is developing toward multielements and interactive integration, this paper makes a survey of Fishing village by Li River,Xing Ping Town,Guilin City,Guangxi. The aims of doing such paper research are:First,to probe the cultural implication in Li River to bring the relationship between civilization and river to light;second,to make a breakthrough in the two-element thinking pattern,to make introspections about inter-trans formation between little tradition and great tradition, and to make a probe into the mechanism of inter-transformation between Confucian Culture and Grass Root Culture,Third,to research on the transformation of culture in this village, caused by the signs of refined culture;Fourth,to think over how to upgrade regional culture to a higher level of being in harmony with the times of globalization. In the eyes of culture anthropologists,Xing Ping Town lies in the border district, with a stereoscopic climate in mountains' area,Li River going through which plays an important role in the whole river system in China. Xing Ping Town is an old town with more-them-thousands-year history and good village distribution, where Fishing Village is largely made up of Hem people,is fully aware of the origins of ethnic groups, and has taken flexible measures to the ageing population structure. There is a special concept of geomantic omen in Fishing Village of Xing Ping Town, but this is suitable to the land resources and closed geographical position. There is also consciousness of ethnic groups' adaption, which is suitable to the families full of the colours of Confucian Culture. Meanwhile, here economic life and people's clothing, eating, living and doing well show the features of relative tradition, sincerity, simplicity and optimism. Therefore, adaption and co-existence is one of culture implications in Li River. On the corresponding material basis,in Fishing Village there is an unique tradition that more attention is attached to education, and a kind of proud-of-learning psychology unconsciously prevailing among Villagers. This is due to the fact that Confucian Culture permeates through folks on three levels, namely, harmonizing well folks with nature based on blood relationship, developing subjectivism to keep harmony in society, and overcoming one's shortcomings and cultivating one's moral character to be in harmony with oneself. Essentially Confucian Culture changes into Grass Root Culture, making interactive intergration between little tradition and great tradition comeinto truth. So,at present, people should put importance on the harmony between man and nature, between man and society, between man and oneself. With sun Yan-shan and Bill Clinton affecting the local cultural system,by villager's spontaneous consciousness and under the effective guidance from government,Fishing Village has an eye to developing tourism culture and making a series of changes on material and concept such as much better improved material conditions, approval or disapproval of foreign cultures concept. Therefore, the development of regional tourism should lay stress on its openness, innovation and stability. All in all,the ecological environment around Li River breeds the poetic existence pattern in Fishing Village, and sets up a model of harmonizing man with nature for the advance of human society. Meanwhile, the extention of Confucian Culture is part of Grass Root Culture, and the interference of modern refined culture arouses transformation in regional culture. These two courses build the to-existing developing pattern of modern social civilization. What's more, under the background of globalization, the adoption-centered ethnic-group-developing-harmoniously pattern in Fishing Village upgrades people's living quality gradually.
