| Underachievement problem is always serious in the educational bounds, especially in middle and primary schools. People begin to pay more attention to it. It's the important thing of abandoning examination ?oriented education for quality ?oriented education to study and solve the underachiever problem. Because quality ?oriented education is for all the students, the underachievers are the special members of them. On the other hand, because of the universalizing of compulsory education, the underachievers have much effect on it. Basing on the reasons above, I decide to study the underachiever problem in middle schools.In the preface, first, I annoate and define the implications of underachievement and underachievers in middle schools, I introduce the study about underachievement in China and overseas. Then, I find the underachiever problem is mainly caused by the personality factors according to the data from the study and investigation.In the second chapter of the article, I divide the underachievers' personality factors into four respects to explicate: learning motive, learning interest, attachment and volition. Then I analyse the influence of schools and students themselves upon the personality factors. According to the influence of students themselves, the experience of much failure is the most important. According to the influence of schools, first, the error in the guiding ideology of schools, second, the shortcoming in the teachers' teaching, third, the lack of teachers' love.According to the influence factors, this article poses the countermeasures of optimizing the personality factors of underachievers in middle schools. That is to develop their learning motive, good attachment and volition, stimulate their learning interest. |
