On The Information-based Society And Teachers' Education

To meet the needs of new epoch, teacher-training must get rid of once-for-all educationalconcept, life-time education should be accepted; of the training aim, the cultivation of the information consciousness and ability should be emphasized; of the teaching pattern, the traditional "teacher-centered" pattern should be replaced by new interactive pattern; of the teaching content , courses should be offered geared to the development of education in the information-based society, Meanwhile, information technology should be the basic course of all the majors: of the teaching form, the traditional "oral explaination and blackboard presentation" should be reformed. The computer and network technology should be made full use of in order to provide students with the best learning environment.The teachers' education should not only turn out teachers, but also train teachers. In the ever-increasing development of informationization, teachers' good quality of information plays a pre-conditional role in the full exertion of information technology. But as far as the current situation of our country is concerned, most of the teachers in middle schools and primary schools are not well prepared with the information technology, which results in some problems in the course of educational informationization.
