Ralph.W.Tyler, a famous American curriculum and evaluation expert, enjoyed names like'father of curriculum theory','father of education evaluation','father of the behavior aims'. Tyler was the chief member of the Educational Evaluation Committee in the eight year study, which designed the Tyler Educational Evaluation Method, a product under the influence of the special culture of American by then. It initiated the scientific evaluating of the education and directed the American education, strengthened and rectified the development of the American education. In this article I did some explanation based on the historical materials. Then I focusedon the influence the American educational culture had on the Tyler method as well as the guidance, strengthening and rectifying the Tyler method had on the American education culture.
