| Apartments are important places for students to live and to learn in colleges anduniversities, and important places for students to communicate with each other. They are alsoimportant places to train students'ability of self-management, self-education, and self-service.With the deepening of the ideological and political education as well as the socialization oflogistic service in colleges and universities, the ideological and political education centeringaround students'apartments is an inevitable subject of research for university managers,general public, as well as university students themselves.Under the guidance of"the Outlook of Scientific Development"and the notion of"humanity orientation"and with reference to the theory of socialist key values system, theauthor has analyzed the problems of colleges and universities in ideological education inapartments, construction of apartment culture, apartment management efficiency, ideals forapartment mangement, as well as quality of apartment management after an investigation intothe current situation of students'apartments in colleges and unviersities in China.The author has also made an attempt to vigorously explore the new ways and newapproaches to strengthen the ideological and political work in students'apartments and thebest way to combine political and ideological education with apartment management. theauthor has then put forward a theoretical mode for aparmtment management in colleges anduniversities―"humanity-orientation"management mode―and has elaborated the necessity,primary contents, and functions of that management mode.Centering around"humanity-orientation"management mode, the author has proposedcorresponding strageties and implementation plan, further elaborating the pertinence, thetimeliness and the feasibility of the management mode, thus offering important guarantee toeducating students at all-round basis under the principle of"three services, two education".
