Starting from 2007, the tuition-free policy for normal university students has been implemented in 6 key normal universities directly under the administration of Ministry of Education. Up to 2011, totally more than 45,000 tuition-free normal university students (hereinafter be referred as TNUS) haven been enrolled, and the first graduates are ready to work as teachers in the near future. In 2010, "State Guidelines for Medium-to-Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan between 2010 and 2020" was staged, followed by the formulation of "The 12th Five-Year Plan on National Economic and Social Development" in 2011. As one of the significant measures in teachers'education strengthening elementary education, balancing educational resources and encouraging excellent talents to choose teaching as long-term career, the tuition-free policy for normal university students would be further implemented.Currently, the education on TNUS is relatively new. For one thing, the theoretical study is more while the practice is less. For another, in the aspect of teaching skills in practice, the teachers' body language, which is as important as the verbal language and written language (including modern multimedia technology), and even more important for middle and primary school students in elementary education, has not been carefully considered. In order to further maintain the development direction of professionalization and specialization for the education of TNUS, to complete the students' knowledge structure, and to meet the idealized demand of teachers' beauty image in parallel with our times and social development, the article mainly studies in three aspects, namely, the effect of body language in teaching, the artistic and aesthetic features of body language, and the teaching practice on teachers' image-building. Firstly, it argues that teachers' body language is to the benefit of information-sharing, atmosphere-building, efficiency-improving, and quality-developing. Then, it studies and demonstrates that the artistic and aesthetic features of body language are comprised of beauty in form, beauty in emotion and beauty in aesthetic conception. Also, the article studies the need and principle to offer the teachers'image-building courses, the ways to improve its contents and the mechanism to evaluate. Moreover, the article does research into the current situation of teaching practice of teachers' body language for TNUS, which could be of theoretic importance for the further development of such educational programs. Finally, there is the case study on the course of "Figure training and teacher's image-building" offered at Central China Normal University, where the author works in. It discusses the curriculum structure of teacher's body language for TNUS, expecting to provide an effective model of educating innovation-oriented talents, establishing the teaching program, and implementing the teaching practice under the tuition-free policy for normal university students.
