Since 1998 the American researcher Barbara Moses first mentioned about the concept of career intelligence, there has been several domestic authors who have emphasized the important influence career intelligence has to career success in their career guiding books, but no one has done any empirical research about it.In this research, questionnaire surveys are conducted twice among job-holders across the country, and data collected and processed twice. First, exploratory factor analysis is applied to explore the content structure of career intelligence, confirmatory factor analysis is used to confirm that the structure model established in the exploratory stage is rational and acceptable; then correlation analysis is used to study the correlative relationship between career intelligence and career success; next, hierarchical regression analysis is applied to study the predicting effect career intelligence has on career success when several demographic variables got controlled; finally, ANOVA analysis is used to study the influence demographic variables have on career intelligence. Several conclusions can be made after all these studies:1. Career intelligence is a multi-dimensional construct, which is constructed by four factors named human capital, career introspection, personal adaptability and corporate sense.2. The degree of career intelligence an individual is endowed is significantly correlate with the degree he achieves his career success. The higher the career intelligence, the more success his career, and vice versa.3. The degree of career intelligence an individual has a predicting effect on his career success.4. Individuals with different demographic characteristics didn't show any difference on the degree of career intelligence they are endowed, except on the position level. Finally, based on the outcomes of the empirical study, the management and development strategies are studied from both the individual and the organizational perspectives.
