With the progress of economic reform, China's labor employment has gradually entered the Market-oriented model, employers and employees achieve two-way choice in employment. The increased enrollment of colleges in recent years make graduates' employment situation more serious, particularly difficult for female graduates. This thesis uses the labor market discrimination theory to study the college graduates'gender discrimination in employment. Gender discrimination in employment against female graduates will affect people's human capital investment decisions, detriment women's legitimate rights, lead to low socioeconomic status of women, affect family's well-being and upbringing of future generations in family life, and is also a serious waste of valuable societal human resources, damage the construction of a harmonious social environment. This article explores the view that the main reasons which led to college graduates'gender discrimination in employment are:imperfect legislation construction to promote equality in employment, lack of law supervision; China's traditional labor gender division prejudice and "Male Superiority" ideology still has influence; overall serious employment situation of graduates, inadequate social security system promoting female's employment. Taking into account that gender discrimination in employment is mainly reflected by female graduates'wages lower than male graduates'under the same conditions, this article focuses on wage differences between male and female graduates. Through the description of male and female graduates'personal characteristics and group differences in income, this paper find female graduates face a certain degree of gender inequality in employment. Through contrasting the regression models'effect, the thesis examined the factors that affect the college graduates'wage level, explored the differences of factors'income coefficients between male and female graduates. The Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition method decompose the gender wage gap into characteristic effect and coefficient effect, the latter explains the 86.93% of total wage gap, which indicates that college graduates face serious gender discrimination in employment. In order to reduce gender discrimination in employment, the government should strengthen the public policy constitution for equal employment, enhance legislation building, improve the enforcement mechanism of judicial protection; guide the whole society to banish the prejudice of gender division; constantly extend new areas of employment, intensify women's social security system for employment, to guide and supervise the society to gradually eliminate gender bias, protect the female's legitimate rights in employment, achieve harmonious development of society.
