College Sports Venues Privatization Study-With WEIDER-TERA Wellness Club In Shanghai University Of Sport

Along with reformation opening continually deepening, colleges and universities are increasingly involved on the development track of socialist market economy at the same time. To appreciate the full potential of the gymnasiums and stadiums in colleges and universities and bring them into full play for the social and public, State Education Commission and State Sports General Administration have published documents on the public stadiums and gymnasiums, sports fields in schools opening to the public. These documents provide development orientation and policy support for the opening of gymnasiums and stadiums in colleges and universities to public. This paper mainly uses the methods of documentary, interviews and case study analysis.Through the research in the basis function of gymnasiums and stadiums in colleges and universities to boldly introduce the case and mode of social fund, the purpose is providing the privatization way which centers economic benefits, orients with market and invests, operates even benefits themselves. And another purpose is providing references for those who change the way of relying on the state's investment and instruction to expand business and autonomy in management. Meanwhile, by virtue of abundance in gymnasiums and stadiums in colleges and universities, if we can open them through privatization way to public reasonable and powerful, it will bring us great increase of public resource in the whole society, promote the development of mass sports and provide stronger support to carry on the nationwide fitness campaign.According to the research of Weider Tera's privatization in Shanghai University of Sport, this paper obtain revelation as follows. Colleges and universities should make best use of self advantage, take notice of possible variables in cooperation, communicate with each other ahead of the time, pay more attention to long-term cooperation and made a point of ensuring teaching and school routine. Privatization is not the purpose but the way. The purpose includes win-win, changing concept and introducing market mechanism. Privatization not only influences economic interest issue between schools and society, but also students'employment and some other factors.The author regards privatization of gymnasiums and stadiums in colleges and universities as one of major way of the development of them and gives a few out suggestions. Colleges and universities should make ensuring normal teaching and school routine as basis, enhance security, establish property relations, expand financing channels, collect funds from society extensively, improve the management system, raise the management level, perfect the evaluating system before privatization, emphasize tailor measures to suit self conditions, change operate concept, introduce the market mechanism and intensify opening-up. Colleges and universities should make best use of self advantage, highlight their own characteristics and take the notice of potential problems to establish long-term cooperation mechanism.
