Social Skill, also can be called social interpersonal skill, is one of the individual skills to involving, adapting, developing, harmonizing and handling social relations, is the skill to influencing and manipulating others.Social skill is of great value to the individual, it exerts a significant influence on social support of individual, physical and mental health, working efficiency, etc. At present there are little related research on university students'Social skill in our country, a thorough analysis will carry important theoretical practical significance.In 1977, Bandura proposed the concept of self-efficacy, then developed and perfected the self-efficacy theory. The self-efficacy is a form of thinking, it's the belief or judgment that the individual whether an individual can complete an activity in a certain level. (Bandura,1986) At present,there are little research on the correlation between university students' Social skills and the self-efficacy at home and abroad.This article include two parts.The first part introduce the concept, dimensionality, evaluation, value, influence etc. of Social skill and the self-efficacy through analysis and investigation of relevant literature.The second part mainly analyses the relationship between university students' Social skills and the self-efficacy through the questionnaire survey and case interview. This essay also explores if there are differences in students of different genders, from different majors, grades, resources, family, if Social skill has predictive value on self-efficacy. And then come up with some educational advice and reform measures to enhance the actuality and enrich the related theory of university students' Social skills and the self-efficacy.This essay launches an investigation on 350 university students of Southwest University, Chongqing Jiaotong University and Sichuan University, and the main conclusions are as follows:1 The over all level of university students'Social skill is not very high and there are significant differences in genders, majors and student Leaders or not. Female students are higher than male ones; art students are higher than science students, and significant differences lie in the factor of social adaption and social perception; Student leaders are higher than ones who are not student leaders.2 The over all level of university students'self-efficacy is high, and remarkable differences lie in genders. Female students are higher than male ones, that's to say, university students'self-efficacy will vary due to genders.3 In the factor of social adaption, there are significant differences in genders, majors of university student's social skill, Female students are higher than male ones(t=1.038, P<.05); art students are higher than science students(t= 2.397,P<.05).4 In the factor of social perception, there are significant differences in majors of university student's social skill. Art students are higher than science students(t= 2.379, P<.05).5 In the factor of social confidence, male students are higher than female ones, but there are not significant differences(t=2.016, P>.05), student leaders are higher than ones who are not student leaders(t=1.983, P<.05).6 In the factor of social expression, female students are higher than male ones; art students are higher than science students; students from cities are higher than ones from countryside; student leaders are higher than ones who are not student leaders, but there are not significant differences.7 In the factor of impression management, art students are higher than science students(t=.739, P>.05),the mean score of science students are higher than art students; The mean score of high grades are higher than low grades.8 University students'social skill relates most positively with self-efficacy. Students with high social skill have high self-efficacy; Students with high self-efficacy have high social skill.9 The score of high-effect students is higher than low-effect students in the four factors of social skill. The score of high-effect is higher than low-effects in the three factors of social perception, social adaption and impression management, and the remarkable differences lie in it.10 University students'social skill well evaluates their self-efficacy, and self-efficacy can also predict social well.11 The social perception and impression management of social skill have good prediction effect to self-efficacy, but other factors of social skill can not. |
