Professional-skill training is one kind of educational action for trainees to learn the basic knowledge and operating technology and to reach the requirement for the employment. Tea industry, as the especial industry of economical crop in China, has been frequently developing recent years. So, the demand of skill training for tea industry has been constantly increasing. The paper had investigated the status of Chinese tea industry and the occupational training for the employees, then designed the teaching and learning framework, results for the investigation and the questionnaire survey were followed as below.1. The demand for professional-skill specialized workers in tea industry nowadays were studied. The requirements of the knowledge and skill were higher than before, with the developing of tea industry. Although it had already 4 vocational skill jobs now, such as Tea Taster. Tea Artist, Tea Processing Worker, and Tea Gardening Worker, they were difficult to contain all the demand for skills in tea industry. We should update and complement new knowledge and skills for the professional-skill training, or increase the vocational skill job.2. The status and the existing problems of the professional-skill training in Chinese tea industry were investigated. We found that the requirement for all the 4 vocational skill jobs was Tea Taster, Tea Artist, Tea Processing Worker, and Tea Gardening Worker in turn. These vocational jobs were fit for the tea industry, and could mostly fill the demand for tea production and processing enterprises. The new demands for new professional-skills were appearing together with the progress of modern science and technology. The demands for tea chemicals determination and tea trees safeguarding were more than tea marketing skill, the manufacturing of tea snack, tea culture promulgating, and tea blending.3. The teaching and learning framework was designed according with the training aim. (1) Training class was the major method, whilst the teaching by correspondence was recommend as the supplement. The collecting training was prominently, and the learning should take full advantage of busy season and the leisure time. It will effectively enhance the benefits of skill training. The practical technical problem from the trainees could also be answered by the teacher. (2) According to the different criterions for national professional certificate grade 5 to grade 1. it was necessary, to adjust the teaching hours for the basic theory and operative skills and to enhance the practice for operative skills properly. (3) Reasonably to select or compile the books or documents for the professional-skill training. The basic theory and operative skills should be seriously considered at the same time. (4) Teachers possessing with complex academic knowledge, skilled technology, abundant teaching experience, and circumspect services, should be build up. (5) The training school should strengthen the basic teaching conditions and the establishment, like classrooms, electrical instruments and practice machines.4. The status of the current professional-skill training and the demand for new skills were studied based on the trainees in China Tea Science Society. The results from the questionnaire survey showed that, the appellation of Pingchashi for the national professional certificate grade 2 should be replaced by Zhongjipingchashi corresponding to Gaojipingchashi for the national professional certificate grade 1, whilst the Chayejiagonggong for the national professional certificate grade 5 to 3 should be replaced by Chayejiagongyuan or Chayezhizuogong due to it's confused pronunciation. Considering new demands for new skill training, the contents for tea chemicals determination, tea trees safeguarding, tea marketing skill, the manufacturing of tea snack, tea culture promulgating, and tea blending could be recruited into the present vocational skill jobs.The paper gave out the suggestion for the present professional-skill training of tea industry, and the design of the teaching and learning framework. The study will be beneficial for the consummate of teaching system, the pertinence and the practicability of training class. It will be good for the constant healthy developing of tea industry by providing more proficient professional skill workers with high level in working ability.
